Earby is now one step closer to installing a new inclusive slide in Sough Park after a series of successful grant applications by Councillor Ian Lyons who is managing the project on behalf of Earby Town Council.
The former Earby Youth Hostel has taken another major leap towards a new exciting future and its reopening in spring 2018 . News has just been announced of a successful funding bid organised by Earby Town Council to the Lancashire Environment Fund.
Fields in Trust, a UK charity which safeguards local outdoor spaces for sport, play and recreation has recognised two sites at Sough Park, West Craven, for protection.
Sough Park, between Kelbrook and Earby, is the first park in Pendle to be awarded this status.
We would like to inform residents that the Pendle Borough Council Executive is to meet this evening the 14th December at 7.00pm to reconsider the matter of housing land in Earby, with an Officer recommendation that all three sites be declared surplus and be sold.
