Earby Christmas Tree Lights Switch On

Earby Town Council wishes to invite everyone to the annual switch on of the Christmas tree lights, which is situated opposite the Humble Pie on Colne Road.

The event will start with Earby Brass Band playing carols from 5:45pm.

A friendly drop in for former ex-service men and  women to meet and share  experiences and find access to support  services, all accompanied by plenty of inter service banter.

It has been reported that a number of residents believe that the CCTV cameras in Earby are not operational, please be advised that this is not the case.

Anne's woods clean up

The Woodland Trust will be cleaning and painting the benches in Anne’s wood with preservative on Thursday 30th August.

Do you have an interest in the wood? If so please feel free to drop in to help - possibly collecting litter and/or other useful jobs if you have the spare time.

Please be informed that from September onwards the Friday surgery in the Parish rooms will be held on the first and third Friday of every month.

A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.

Flooding is possible for: Earby Beck and New Cut from Kelbrook to Broughton and Glusburn Beck in Cross Hills and Sutton-in-Craven.

Be prepared.

Soak it Up project with Yorkshire Water

This summer, Yorkshire Water will be working with local communities and schools by running educational workshops to encourage residents to think about how small actions can contribute towards the removal of flooding.

Earby Town Council - Lengths man required

Earby Town Council require someone to help with mowing, strimming, care of allotment fencing, ground spraying and other duties as necessary.

This will be for one day a week on a temporary contract only to a self employed person that will run until the 31-03-2019.
